PORTO CONTE DIVING CENTER

The Porto Conte Diving Center was born from the passion of a group of divers eager to explore the wonderful seabed of the Riviera del Corallo, in Alghero, Sardinia. Located in the heart of the Capo Caccia – Isola Piana Marine Protected Area, this center offers privileged access to an extraordinary stretch of coastline.

The Marine Protected Area extends for over 36 km, from the picturesque Punta Giglio to Punta delle Gessiere, characterized by towering cliffs and the enchanting Mugoni beach. Underwater, in addition to the Posidonia oceanica meadows, there are numerous submerged caves and rich coral formations.

This area, with its unique landscape, has been shaped by the action of time and natural elements on limestone substrates dating back to the Mesozoic era. The underwater caves, created by the karst phenomenon, are a true spectacle due to their variety and the rich marine life they host.

The favorable climatic conditions allow for safe and enjoyable diving all year round, with the possibility of thoroughly exploring Porto Conte Bay, reaching depths of up to 40 meters in just 10 minutes of navigation.

Among the highlights of the dives is the Nereo cave, the largest in the Mediterranean, accessible thanks to the authorizations of the Porto Conte Diving Center, which guarantees exclusive diving experiences in a protected and well-organized environment.

With dozens of dive spots varied by difficulty level, the center ensures unforgettable and safe diving experiences for all its visitors.
